Description:
Summer is a great time to explore all of those math topics that don’t always make the cut in our math textbooks! We’ll construct 3D shapes, count in different number systems, and use ciphers to communicate in code. Join the Summer Math Club, hosted by SIS math teacher Mr. Nadolsky, to explore the interesting world of all that other mathematics.
Each course will feature weekly activities posted in Google Classroom that allow students to explore the topics on their own. During the week, students will be able to connect with their peers through discussion posts moderated by the course instructor. There will be a 1.5 hour session every Thursday for students to come together virtually and share their learning from the week, play games, and engage in math discussions.
We will explore topics such as different base number systems, modular arithmetic, geometric constructions, and many more.
